First trailer for David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook
David O. Russell’s last film swept the 2010 supporting acting Oscars and was nominated in several other major categories; it was the gritty, based on a true story
boxing film The Fighter. This year, though, he returns with a more lighthearted effort (perhaps more in line with his I Heart Huckabees) in the form of the dramedy Silver Linings Playbook. With yet another fine cast (including a return to the big screen for Chris Tucker and everyone’s favorite live-action archer Jennifer Lawrence), Russell’s film looks to be a crowd-pleaser with a chance for awards attention (especially given its prime release date).
