Suave trailer for Andrew Dominik’s Killing Them Softly
Director Andrew Dominik’s last feature film, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007), is an under-the-radar masterpiece of cinema with striking imagery. After a five-year hiatus, Dominik returns to the silver screen with this gritty crime thriller Killing Them Softly (2012), formerly titled Cogan’s Trade and based on George V. Higgins’ book. The film stars Brad Pitt and a host of veteran actors specifically selected to play a bunch of wise guy mobsters, such as Ray Liotta back in Goodfellas-like form perhaps. A few clips have appeared online already, but we finally have a full-length trailer for the film, and it looks to be quite thrilling on both visceral and visual levels. Check out the preview below!
